Questions and Answers

You’re in the right place, no matter where you are in your weight management journey. Whether you’re just starting out, trying again, or seeking support to stay on track, our team is here to guide you with the right expertise. As an academic, evidence‑based program, we help you understand what is safe and effective for you so you can make decisions with confidence and finally move forward with a plan that works.

People seek out our program for many reasons Feeling stuck despite real effort Uncertainty about whether weight‑loss medications are right for you Wanting to understand the science behind weight gain Struggling after previous weight‑loss success Hormonal changes making weight loss harder after 40 or during menopause Needing structured support after bariatric surgery Feeling lost in a sea of conflicting advice

Managing weight during perimenopause or menopause can be especially challenging as hormonal changes affect metabolism, appetite, and how your body stores fat. Or you may be trying to lose weight after having children, as both moms and dads can experience weight changes and lifestyle shifts that make weight management harder. Our program can help you navigate these changes with evidence‑based guidance and personalized support.

Yes, when it’s appropriate for your health and goals. Our board‑certified obesity medicine specialists prescribe FDA‑approved GLP‑1 and GLP‑1/GIP medications (e.g., semaglutide, tirzepatide) when clinically indicated, and we never prescribe compounded medications.  Your safety is our first priority. These medications have been truly game‑changing for many patients. After your initial visit, your physician will walk you through the options that fit your medical profile, explain why a specific medication is recommended, and work with you to make a shared decision you feel confident about.

The program includes six months of lifestyle‑modification support, covering nutrition, activity, behavior, stress, and sleep, billed out of pocket at $65 per month (HSA/FSA eligible). Physician appointments are billed to your insurance, and medication costs vary based on your coverage. After the initial six months, we stay with you for the long haul, continuing monitoring and comprehensive obesity care to support sustained progress.
